Produced by the International Latino Cultural Center and the CHICAGO LATINO Film Festival in collaboration with the Chicago Parks District’s Movies in the Park program, this free family-friendly series brings past festival films to parks all over the city.
In this delightful comedy about overbearing mothers, 45-year-old Fernando has a good job, and a secret that doesn’t fit on his resume: he still lives with his mother, Victoria, who cares for him with a love so immense it stifles him. Fernando invites Leticia—his girlfriend and, to make matters worse, his boss—to dinner so the two women can meet for the first time. What begins as a cordial dinner turns into a full-blown battle of hints, jealousy, and untouched dishes.
