Showcasing bold and innovative works from independent filmmakers, the 31st edition will be held at the Gene Siskel Film Center and the Harper Theater. From experimental narratives and avant-garde documentaries to boundary-pushing media art, the Festival presents a diverse array of underground cinema that defies convention and challenges norms. Featuring films that transcend mainstream expectations, the Festival aims to cultivate an audience for daring, subversive, and audacious filmmaking.
As Roger Ebert once said, "What you get for your money is not just admission to the films but admission to a subculture." Since its inception in 1993, the Festival has remained committed to spotlighting singular visions and pioneering approaches in cinema.
Full schedule announced in August.
